KEY ACTIVES & INGREDIENTS
Pink Micro Algae extract (Dunaliella salina) is carefully extracted and infused at a preventive concentration of 0.5 percent. This antioxidant powerhouse brings countless age-fighting benefits such as defence against inflammation, DNA damage and other common cellular disruptions triggered by environmental damage. It helps maintain a radiant, even complexion, supports skin barrier function, and promotes firmness while soothing and calming sensitive or reactive skin.
Beta-carotene: Carotenoids are the most abundant pigment synthesised by all species of marine algae. They assume a key role in the protection of cells, quenching free radicals and combating UV damage. In the body, Beta-Carotene is a powerful antioxidant and pro-vitamin A compound that helps protect skin from oxidative stress and environmental damage. It supports a healthy, radiant complexion by enhancing skin barrier function, promoting cell renewal, and reducing the appearance of dullness and uneven tone. Its mild anti-inflammatory properties also help soothe and calm sensitive or reactive skin, while its photoprotective effects complement sun protection to maintain a youthful, resilient appearance.
Full Ingredient List: EcoCert Non Nano Zinc oxide (227.5 mg/g), Medium chain triglycerides, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Candelilla Wax, Polyglyceryl-3 polyricinoleate, Hydrogenated castor oil, d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, Isostearic acid, Soya oil, Simmondsia chinensis, Daucus carota, Betacarotene, Fragrance*, Dunaliella Salina (0.5%).

HOW TO USE
STEP 1: Apply liberally and evenly to all unprotected areas before exposure to the sun. Insist on sensitive areas (face, decolletage, shoulders, hands & feet, back of ears and neck). We don't dilute our sunscreens, resulting in richer, more concentrated creams than conventional sunscreen lotions. Apply a pea size amount at first and rub evenly to see how much product is ideal for your skin type.
STEP 2: Re-apply frequently, especially after swimming, sweating, or towelling. Avoid sun exposure between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. wear protective clothing and a hat. Use sun protection daily and all-year round, even on cloudy days. A clean SPF routine is your best defence against premature signs of ageing and skin cancer.
Precaution: Sunscreens containing beta-carotene may temporarily stain clothing or fabrics. To avoid discoloration, allow the product to fully absorb into the skin before dressing and avoid contact with light-colored fabrics immediately after application.

PACKAGING + SUSTAINABILITY
Our tube is made from 100% Recycled Aluminium, which is 100% recyclable, (even our 10g tube).
To Recycle: Separate tube from cap. Place empty tube in recycling bin (can be flat or rolled and does not require cleaning). Place cap in recycling bin.
- Aluminium has an excellent recycling rate at any size (whereas plastics smaller than fist size are strictly not recycled and end up incinerated or in landfills).
- When degrading, Aluminium won’t leave micro-plastics or micro-pieces behind. It will simply oxidise (rust away) into ions especially in sea water.
- The Global Efficiency Recycling Rate (RER) of Aluminium is currently 76% (and rising). Which means 76% of aluminium ever produced is still in productive use today. This is significantly better than plastic, which RER is a sad 9%.
- If not recycled, Aluminium can take up to 200 years in landfills to get completely decomposed, so placing your tube in the recycling bin is an important step in facilitating its recycling.
- Recycled Aluminium requires 95% less energy to manufacture than virgin aluminium, avoiding significant emissions, including greenhouse gases.
FAQ
Questions and Answers
Is this sunscreen safe for kids and while pregnant or nursing?
The absence of endocrine and reproductive disruptors in our sunscreens make them safe to use during conception, pregnancy and nursing. It is also safe to use on children from 6 months of age.
Will I get A White Cast?
We use micronised zinc oxide to minimise white cast although darker skin tones may observe a minor cast, particularly with the SPF 50 sunscreen. An even application and a little extra rubbing helps blend the creams fully.
What Does Reef-Safe Mean?
Many sunscreens contain ingredients that wash off our skins (or down the drain) to harm coral reefs, even at very small concentrations. Using a "reef safe sunscreen" means that no ingredients in that product will cause detrimental effects to marine life. That includes coral reefs but also marine mammals, turtles, fish and a variety of marine species. Remember that certain brands falsely claim to be "Reef-Safe" but actually contain chemicals harmful to ocean life, so always check the label for these toxic ingredients:
Oxybenzone,
Avobenzone,
Octinoxate,
Octocrylene,
Parabens,
Triclosan
How does SPF 50 differ from SPF 30?
No sunscreen actually blocks 100% of UV rays. SPF50+ sunscreens offer similar levels of UVB protection as SPF30 sunscreens but offer extra UVA protection. SPF50+ sunscreens allow 1/50th of ambient UV radiation through but filter out 98% of UVB radiation. SPF30 sunscreens admit 1/30th of ambient UV radiation, but block out 96.7% UVB
Is Zinc Oxide The Safer Option?
Zinc oxide provides excellent broad-spectrum protection and has several advantages over chemical actives.
Zinc particles sit on top of your skin and act as a reflective mirror to block UVA, UVB and Blue Light from penetrating your skin and causing damage and ageing.
Zinc oxide is also the only FDA and TGA approved broad-spectrum ingredient, and unlike any other active ingredient, its concentration in a product has no limitation.
